Dentist

Katie qualified with distinction in 2002 from Queens University Belfast and after working in the UK and Australia settled into life in Galway in 2006. 
Katie lives in Furbo with her husband and three kids. Together with her brilliant team Katie prides herself in providing  a unique patient journey that allows all her patients to avail of honest and quality dental treatment in comfortable surroundings. 

At the weekends Katie can be found either chauffeuring the kids around their busy schedules, running the roads in a bid to keep fit or at every given opportunity watching Ireland win in the Aviva stadium!

dr Celine mc cullough
Dentist

Celine graduated in Psychology from Dundee University before qualifying in Dentistry with honours from the University of Liverpool in 2006. Soon after, she returned home to work in Belfast and arrived in Galway in July 2020.  Celine provides family-friendly, preventative and cosmetic treatments and specialises in working with anxious patients of all ages.  In her free time, Celine loves cycling, cooking, travelling and entertaining her two young daughters.

lorraine egan

Lorraine graduated from Trinity with a honors degree in 2005 and has worked in Galway city for the past decade. She is now delighted to be working closer to home in Barna.

Lorraine is interested in all aspects of dentistry and enjoys keeping up to date by regularly attending educational courses. She has a keen interest in endodontics and enjoys cosmetic cases combining orthodontics and aesthetic dentistry.

When not at work, she enjoys keeping fit, mostly by running after her three young children and being outdoors.

Rita lynch Receptionist

Rita joined the team in March 2021. Rita takes care of all our appointment systems and reception duties with her exceptional organisational skills and efficiency. Rita is a great lady for a night out and keeps us all laughing with her fabulous one liners!

She is very passionate in providing excellent customer care and will go the extra mile to ensure all patients are happy.

Sinead horan
Dental Hygienist

Sinead qualified from the Glasgow Dental Hospital in June 1992. She won the Ash Prize for best clinical student. She has worked in the public sector in Laois and Offaly, before moving to Galway where she has worked in various private practices. She has that natural ability to put her patients at ease and enjoys  the variety in treating all different age groups.

Sinead will greet you with a  warm welcome and educate you about your gum health through good oral hygiene at home and routine cleanings at Barna Village Dental.

  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene (DipDHyg), Glasgow.

Aisling Conneely Dental Nurse

Aisling is a Galway native and fluent Irish speaker. We are very proud of Aisling who completed her Dental Nursing qualification in 2021 while working through the pandemic. Aisling is a key member of our nursing team and always keeps us smiling.

She has a keen interest in orthodontic treatment and is brilliant with kids in the surgery. Outside of work Aisling enjoys walking and keeping fit.

Riona flaherty
qualified dental nurse

Riona joined us as a trainee before taking up a full-time position once she achieved her qualifications as a Dental Nurse from the Athlone Institute of Technology in early 2019.

Another fluent Irish speaker means there are days where Irish is by far the most widely spoken language at Barna Village Dental.

Riona plays football for her local club Naomh Anna , Leitir Móir and has been recently selected for the Galway County senior panel.

Nora joined us as a trainee and commenced her Dental Nurse Training program with Trinity College in Dublin.

The latest native Irish speaker to join the practice, Nora is always welcoming and loves nothing more than chatting with and putting our patients at ease throughout their visit.

Outside of work Nora is a keen traveller and loves visiting new places.
